Why You Should use Google Ads for Business

why you should use google ads for business

If you do business online, chances are that you already know the advertising platforms that have been widely or often promoted such as Facebook and Instagram.

I admit these two platforms have changed the fate of many people in terms of providing opportunities for us to promote our products/services. Seome people could even earn thousands of perhaps millions in turnover just by advertising on these two free platforms.

The good news is that there is actually an advertising platform that is no less cool than Facebook or Instagram, even honestly this one platform is much cooler and more powerful than the two platforms I mentioned earlier.

However, these two social media platforms are not the only way to do marketing. There is still Google Ads which is no less, or even more powerful than the previous two platforms.

Google Ads itself is formerly known as Google Adwords. Broadly speaking, there are 2 types of Google Ads advertising networks, namely Google Ads Search or GSN (Google Search Network), and Google Ads Display or GDN (Google Display Network).

But why do you need to consider using Google Ads Display?

1. Wide Coverage

First of all, Google's network is really massive. As the most used search engine, Google will definitely reach audience in a much wider area that any of their competitor. Hence why you could found Google services in all available language.

And thats not it, Google also could identified a local business. So if you want to target a small certain area, it doesn't a problem at all for Google.

2. Keyword Targeting

Google Ads has many cool features to make it easier to target our ads on the target audience. Some features are not even found in their competitors.

One of the cool features that has been the flagship of Google is "Display Keyword Targeting."

Targeting the audience based on keywords is one of the most powerful forms of targeting that to this day only Google has because of its greatness as a search engine.

Using the right keywords really helps us to find a highly targeted audience or people who are really looking for the products / services that we market.

You can imagine how many websites out there we can target with our ads, where our ads can appear on millions of other people's websites that have keyword themes similar to the products / services we marketed. You could even ask Google to recommend what keywords a website has.

3. Responsive Display Ads

Responsive Display Ads is a feature where Google can make an automatic ads using our input.

To be able to use this feature to the fullest, you are asked to include some advertising materials such as image in various resolution, headlines, description, business name, and URL.

With the advertising material that you fill in, Google will combine various combinations of your material into an advertisement consisting of images - images + text - text that you have entered.

Google will automatically rotate your various advertising materials to be shown to your target audience, and then while the ad is running, Google will perform optimization (machine learning) to get a combination of your images and text which shows the best performance for your target audience.

4. Custom Audience

Custom Audience is one of the features usually provided by advertising platforms for you advertisers to create a special audience group according to your criteria. For example, an audience group that visits certain pages on your website, or an audience group that comes from a database that you have such as customer email, or also your customer's telephone number.

Google also has a Custom Audience feature as described above, but Google makes it much more powerful by adding more detailed criteria in this feature so that you are able to create audience groups that have much more specific behavior.

By connecting the Google Analytic feature with your Google Ads account, you can create a Custom Audience using parameters from Google Analytic.

5. Observation & Targeting

Observation is a feature that grant you the ability to see the hidden potential of your target audience's existence, while you run your Google Ads Display ads.

To make it easier, here is some example...

Suppose you are targeting with keywords around "make up artist" so that your ad is displayed on a website with those content.

In addition to setting keywords, you also activate this Observation feature for 2 categories, namely "topic", and also "affinity", which means that Google will observe all topics and all Google affinity during ad running.

These two features will give you additional data beyond the sales you get.

For example, all of your sales could came from the topic "wedding" and the affinity "getting married soon". This is a logical think considering that make-up artists are sought after by those looking to get married or perhaps attending a wedding party.

With these feature, we could found another new target audience group that you can target, and as time and your ads go on, your targeting potential becomes unlimited.

Those are several reasoon why you should use Google Ads for your business. Actually there are many other cool features that Google Ads Display has, and when you take advantage of it, of course the results will be significant.
