1. Find the Right Keyword

The first thing you should do is find the right keyword. This way, your content would be aimed at certain keyword, which in theories should be the one that is most searched on internet. The more people search these keywords, the greater the potential traffic that can be obtained.

But how do you determine or find the right keywords for a blog post? It looks a bit difficult, but you could do it with the help from Google.

One of the tools that you could use is Google Trends. Google Trends itself is a free tools used to track a certain keyword. With this tool, you could see what is trending in your area, or how much people search a certain keyword in a period of time.

Another Google's free tools that web can used is Keyword Planner. Although used for advertising purposes, we could used it to estimate how well a certain keyword would performed, like how much a trafik it would generate or how much an advertizer would willing to bid on those keyword.

2. Title and URL

After you find the right keyword, you could insert those keyword in the title and URL of the content. You can also make sure to put in in front to maximize the SEO benefit.

One thing to notice, don't make don't create titles that are too long, or even click-bait titles. Remember that you also create content for human, and we don't like a content that doesn't answer our question isn't?

3. Sub-Heading

If you make a long post, it's good practice to make some Sub-Heading based on the topic.

These Sub-Heading will help you map your writing so that the flow of thought is clear and not incoherent. Your readers will also be happy because they won't be confused by your uninterrupt rambling.

Subheading will also make the writing more structured and more favorable to search engines. As a bonus, you can also insert other keywords in the subheading to increase the SEO score of your post.

4. Put Your Keyword Upfront

Beside the title and URL, It's best to put the keywords in the first 100 words of your post. Apparently, search engine use this kind of method to see whether your content is relevant to the title or not.

Besides, reader who look for certain keyword might want to find it when they read your first or second paragraph to know that they in the right place.

Backlinks are website links that go to your blog, while Internal Links are the link that came from another of your blog post on the same website. Search engine like Google use these indicator to determine whether your blog post is worth the top position or not, with backlink being the biggest factor.

The more backlink you get, the more recognition you get from search engine. But not all backlink are the same, because only backlink from trustworthy source that actually matters.

6. Throw Some Visual

Basically, we all like visual. So if you have an abundant of text, you might want to throw in some image or illustration here and there.

Not only make your content more readable, image or illustration that you put on your content also serve another benefit for SEO. Since search engine can't 'see' an image, it search for an 'alt-text' and caption to understand it better.

There, we could insert our keyword for our benefit. If you do it correctly, your image might get a higher position for certain keyword on Image Search.

But one thing to notice, make sure your image doesn't exceed 100 kb. Big-size image would be hevier to load and make your website slow. You don't want to make your audience wait don't ya!
